The kitten has a news home - a sign on the side of the road brought someone...

Kitten...

Someone dropped this kitten off here a few days ago....today I caught her and have her in a big cage in my framing studio....I can't keep her, if anyone know of someone to match this scared little sweetie, please let me know ASAP! She/he needs a home......

Details...

Image
Using photos I took yesterday, I began the process of refining the building and adding all of those details that give it its character. Looking at old postcard pictures, the trim on the building appears to be black and white instead of the green that it has been painted, so I made the decision to go with the old colors and I will match the light poles to the trim, as now they too are painted green. It's nice to be able to look at the building for details, as much of it doesn't show up in the postcard...such as the whole door area. Starting the painstaking road to completion, hoping for that day in about a week.

The Mural...

Image
I intended to get the grass done today but never got to it...I went and spent some time at the actuall building, looking at details and then deciding which details are old, which are new....then I worked on some, like the way you can see the stones under the bridge, and the corner design in the brick in that extended part of the building, front steps and door design, which dormers have brick and which have wood....lots of details to get right.....

The stone wall...

Image
This painting was originally intended to be about the fisher cat but it may become about the stone wall....it is a gorgeous and VERY old wall on a mountainside in Vermont, all white and gray granite.....'changing gears' and I am off to the mural now.....

Finally!

Image
I am FINALLY starting my painting I have wanted to do for 2 years of the fisher cat I saw at dusk on a stone wall at the edge of the woods in Vermont.
