Back to feathers...

It has been several months since I painted feathers and I've been itching to do it...so yesterday I took some time to paint a grouse feather. This one is going to the National Wild Turkey Federation for their Banquet on May 1st in Ontario, Oregon as a raffle prize. I have another "for sale" grouse ready to be painted - show season is soon upon me, time to get 'in gear'!

Nicely done! Do you use acrylics?

Yes, I use acrylics - thin, so they don't clump on the feather. It's great fun and quite a challenge!
Thanks : )
