Playing with color...

Today I finished the quilt markings and made the shadow a dark blue....but the contrast in the quilt just led your eye right to it so I decided to "play" with it.....I made most of the white a light gray and Dutch just popped out at me! Now I don't want Dutch's gray to be indistinguishable from the gray in the quilt, so I may change the quilt gray to a light blue....and I am going to accentuate the contrast in Dutch. Tomorrow....

Now that I look at him, he does resemble my Kitty! I'll bet he had the same type of personality....

What a wonderful idea, sharing your progress with everyone, especially with your clients! I usually just see the finished product when I buy a needlepoint canvas so this has been very interesting and fun- thanks, Pat...BTW, I think if you left the quilt as a light gray, I would just change the color of the fiber to light gray/blue. Not a problem- nice way to end the day! Chris G.

That sounds great, Chris....all that is left now is to get Dutch finished....then it will be in your hands!
