Pat Morris Art  October 2012

October’s beauty is so humbling; I just returned from a weekend in Vermont and the colors there are outstanding. What a glorious time of year!
Today is the public debut of my paintings on artist’s conks (shelf mushrooms); they are my newest “canvas” from nature and are now on my website at
I am really enjoying using nature’s canvas, and I have a fresh supply of wild turkey feathers to paint, thanks to some generous hunters in Vermont. I am planning to return to Vermont for Columbus Day, at the Wilmington Flea Market on Route 9 in Wilmington….it’s a great time for the southern VT foliage! And then I will be at the Wolf’s Den State Park powwow on the next weekend, a good place to be.
I have two new holiday shows in CT that I will be participating in, one in Vernon and the other in Pomfret; check my show schedule at
http://patmorrisartist.com/showschedule2012.html and feel free to email or call me about these shows or any others you think I would like to participate in. They are great places to do Christmas shopping!
I am also in the process of adding my work to the Fine Art America website; you can see it at
http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/pat+morris/all. They offer prints and cards for sale of the listed artwork; I learned about it just recently from a fellow artist. It will take me some time to get all of my work on there, but that is my goal.
On October 17th I will be doing a demo of wildlife painting in pastel for the Tobacco Valley Artists Association; their meeting that night starts at 6:30 at the Agawam Senior Center on Rt. 159 in Agawam, MA. Visitors are welcome and there is no admission fee; feel free to come, we always have fun!
Wishing you a glorious autumn!
