Update...
Last night I did a tiny bit more on "Skip"....here he is, still the VERY beginning stages. Today I got acceptance into 2 juried shows, that makes a total of 5 shows in September....time for me to stop typing and PAINT!

Continued....
I have added some background to the goldfinches and hollyhocks and, realizing this is going to take some time to complete, have put it aside only very temporarily, to begin a commission. Here you meet the crude beginnings of "Skip".
Changing the painting.....
I'm changing the background; I think the blue will be better, you'll see my goldfinches and hollyhocks better....so we'll see! This was just after removing a lot of green and playing with blues...I like them.......
Back from the show....
I had a great weekend at the Sharon Audubon Festival...the weather was perfect and the people were GREAT! Here are some of my photos....they rehabilitate injured birds there; it was a great photo opportunity! The buffalo I saw at an animal farm on the way home - I believe it is in Goshen CT, looks like quite the place....the bison happened to be grazing near the road. I'll get back to painting tomorrow!
