I now have a firefighter watching the rescue in the window on the side of the house, also started on the one breaking the front window....working left to right, meanwhile fine-tuning the hoses and shadows...

I have been working on the mural all day, still more to do, taking a break : )
Except for the firefighter rescuing someone from the window, the left half is pretty much finished...I'm working my way over...

Worked as long as I could on this...still a couple of lights to add etc....but here is today's progress...

I am trying to get the firetruck on the left completely finished today....just spent a few hours detailing the cab....

I sketched them out then spent a lot of time mixing colors to try to match the photo....this is Emma and Zoe...

I mixed a lighter red for the highlights on the fire trucks and got a coat onto the appropriate places, put in a new roof ladder and hose around the back of the house...letting the paint dry now...

For several reasons, I decided to bring the mural home from the mural studio this morning....I used to say that my studio was a part of my living room but I think it's more accurate that I live in my studio : )
I am just starting to get to it now, the ladder on the roof was crooked, painted over it and when that is dry will put it in correctly, same with the hose on the ground at the back of the house, will be putting that in again also.....

I got my base color in for the background but the pastel dust from it covered Jago, bringing him back now....

I started Jago tonight; he is a search and rescue dog....my hero : )
I made the mistake of doing background color before I had enough of him filled in and ended up with colors I dislike and will be changing tomorrow....not at all what I envisioned for him. I know what I want and it should come easily in the morning's energy....

Still working on perfecting those hoses, also getting the firefighters in their proper positions/actions. I can only spend a little time at it before I need to get back for other reference photos or mostly to look at it on the computer instead of the super-close view that I have at the studio.
